The 12th Night Feast at Rider's Inn, Winter Days at Mill Hollow among the week's highlights

Grab your BMX bike or skateboard and head for Chenga World Skate Park to practice stunts, jumps and awesome moves. Chenga World has two locations: 2224 Fairless Drive, Lorain, 440-240-7588; and 14700 Snow Road, Brook Park, 216-433-7588. Hours vary by location. Experience ice-carving competitions, horse-drawn sleigh rides, sledding, crafts and tours of the historic Bacon House during Winter Days Festival at Mill Hollow in the Vermilion River Reservation in Vermilion. And on Sunday, return to the Vermilion River Reservation for the Big Icicle Hike, which features the beauty of icicles on Mill Hollow's cliffs. The hike is from 1 to 2 p.m. Go to metroparks.cc. . . . "For Adults Only: Meteorology," a program for amateur weather watchers, will explain cloud formations, lake-effect snow and other factors that help create Northeast Ohio's weather. The free, three-part series takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at the Brecksville Nature Center, and Saturday, Jan. 22, at WKYC Channel 3. In the first two sessions, a naturalist will lead participants through information presented in handouts and slides. On Jan. 22, the group will see a live weather forecast and meet a Channel 3 meteorologist at the station, 1303 Lakeside Ave., Cleveland. The nature center is at 9305 Brecksville Road, Brecksville.
